Issue 13: Who Else Could Win The Rumble, and Final Rumble Predictions
Yeah, I know, everyone knows Austin is going to win the Rumble. But that's not the issue: what I'm sayin is, how could winning the Royal Rumble have helped some careers along for certain wrestlers? Let's see......
1. The Undertaker. His new gimmick isn't going over as well as expected, and even his "sacrifice" coming during the Rumble could spark his new angle. He doesnt have to win it, but if he did he'd be over huge.
2. Vince McMahon. Yeah, he may be quite a heel now, but imagine if he somehow won the Rumble! He would be the baddest man alive, especially if he beat Austin. When Austin beats him he may lose some of his fire, it would be nice to see Austin get screwed, and have to really fight to get the shot.
3. The newest member of Team Corporate? What better way to get yourself in tight with the boss than eliminating Austin? With the 100 G bounty on Austin's head, anybody could eliminate him and be a star on the spot.
OK, enough of that. What about a mystery guy? I've heard anywhere from Terry Funk to Yokozuna to New Jack to anybody.....my opinion is that the WWF doesn't deliver on mystery participants (Savio Vega? Jerry Lawler?) so it's probably nothing, and then again that was when WWF was in the doghouse, so now who knows?
And my FINAL predictions are: Mankind, Billy Gunn, Luna, Gangrel, Roaddog, JJ/Owen (if they have a match), and (shudder) Austin to win the Rumble.
